**Don't Leave a Mess.**

Life is routine. We are all born, we all live, and we all die. Everything during the living part is up in the air.

Living can be the most beautiful blend of experiences. Not everyone has an easy path. Their experiences can be challenging, agonizing, numbing, exhausting, and overwhelming. Hopefully, those times are spaced with light, love, laughter, and happiness. But for some of us, we learn early on that life has other plans.

We take advantage of time and the unknown. We live blissfully unaware or unwilling to face reality, putting it off for another moment.

Not me. Not I. Not possible. Trying desperately to bend time to our will. Time we might not all have.

Life is fragile, while human beings are not. As the saying goes, those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

Sixty-seven percent of people do not have a Will, and even more, do not have a Living will, Leaving someone else to make choices when you are left without a voice.

Commonly heard phrases like:" That's somebody else's problem" or "It doesn't matter, I won't be here."

We often forget how much it matters, how overwhelming grief is, and that even good intentions might not be the best ones.

It does matter what we want. The burden we leave for the people we love while they face our mortality does matter. Dying without a Will leaves a mess for everyone else to clean up. During their most challenging moments, you're asking someone to not only deal with the fallout of your passing but often to make tough decisions during all the chaos. Nothing stops arguments quite like legal requirements. Therefore having a end of life plan is critical.

Often, a mother is heard saying, "I'm not here to clean up after you." We are on this earth for many reasons, but no one is here to clean up after you. So, stop leaving a mess. Don't leave others to unpack your life while trying to navigate a world you're no longer a part of.
